Božo Skoko

Božo Skoko is a university professor, publicist, and communications expert, and the first Croatian scholar to systematically focus on the phenomenon of nation branding, namely the management of national identity and image.
He serves as Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies and the Popularisation of Science at Algebra Bernays University, the leading private university in Croatia, and is a long-standing professor of strategic communication at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. He is a co-founder of Millenium Promotion (MPR), one of the oldest and leading communications management agencies in Croatia. A long-time public relations consultant, he has led hundreds of communication and branding projects in Croatia and internationally.
He is a former journalist and editor at Croatian Radiotelevision and a regular commentator for Večernji list, while also publishing his work in numerous other Croatian media outlets.
He is the author of more than one hundred academic papers and eight books, among which Croatia in 30 Stories stands out, alongside the academic monographs The State as a Brand and Croatia and Its Neighbours, the university textbook Strategic Communication of States, and the popular nonfiction bestsellers What Are Croats Like and Croatian Greats.
